Apple TV+ has been known as a more affordable option compared to competitors like Netflix and Disney+, but those days are now coming to an end.

Variety was the first to report that Apple TV+ would be increasing its prices. The streaming service’s website in the US now confirms that subscription costs have risen from $9.99 to $12.99 per month, a $3 increase. This change has already taken effect for new US customers and will impact existing users within 30 days of their next billing cycle.

The last time Apple increased its prices in the US was in October 2023, going from $6.99 to $9.99 per month, another $3 hike.
Apple TV+ issued a statement regarding the new pricing:
“Since its launch, Apple TV+ has expanded its deep library of hundreds of Apple Originals, with thousands of hours of premium programming across genres and brand-new releases weekly – all ad-free… Subscribers can explore a rich offering of thrilling dramas, epic sci-fi, feel-good comedies, and live sports.”
So far, only the standalone monthly Apple TV+ subscription has been affected. Annual Apple TV+ subscriptions and Apple One bundles remain unchanged.
Apple TV+ UK pricing
When this article was first published at 4:45pm BST on Thursday, 21 August, Apple TV+ prices in the UK were still £8.99 per month on the official website. However, around 5:15pm BST, it was noticed that the price had been updated.
The Apple TV+ website now shows a new price of £9.99 per month, an increase of £1 per month.
According to information received by Apple TV+ subscribers, the price increase in the UK will take effect on Thursday, 2 October 2025. If you wish to avoid the extra £1 per month, Apple recommends canceling your subscription one day before the hike. It is advised to cancel by 30 September to ensure no additional charges.
