Sony Announces State of Play Event for 007 First Light
Sony has revealed that a State of Play event will be held on September 3rd, focusing solely on IO Interactive’s upcoming game, 007 First Light. The 30-minute showcase will feature the development team showcasing new gameplay and providing insights into what players can expect from the game.
007 First Light will take players back to the beginning of James Bond’s career as a 00 agent, where his first mission involves a confrontation with fellow agent 009 who has gone rogue. The game’s announcement trailer showcased gameplay reminiscent of the Hitman series, with players having to take down guards and navigate stealthily through missions. The State of Play event is expected to delve deeper into the game’s mechanics, including infiltration tactics, stealth gameplay, and the array of weapons and gadgets available to players.
The State of Play event for 007 First Light is scheduled to begin at 11am PT / 7pm BST / 8pm CEST on September 3rd. The game is slated for release in 2026 on PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series XS.
