You Can Now Buy a Digital Copy of ‘F1: The Movie’

Apple’s latest blockbuster film, F1, is now available for digital purchase, making it easier for fans to enjoy the movie in the comfort of their own home. The movie was released on August 22 on premium video on demand (PVOD) services, such as Apple’s TV app.

The release of F1 on digital platforms aligns with predictions made by WhenToStream, confirming earlier reports from insider sources. While the movie is currently available for rent or purchase on Apple’s TV app, it has not yet been added to Apple TV+.

Viewers can expect to pay $20 to rent the movie for a 48-hour period or $25 to buy it outright. These prices reflect the premium nature of PVOD services, with the cost likely to decrease once F1 is added to Apple TV+. Typically, movies transition from theatrical releases to PVOD services like iTunes and Amazon Prime Video around 45 days after their initial release.

Apple’s previous theatrical releases, including Killers of the Flower Moon, Napoleon, and Argylle, followed similar release schedules, moving from theaters to PVOD and eventually landing on Apple TV+. However, F1: The Movie has surpassed all expectations, becoming Apple’s most successful film to date.

Given the popularity of F1, it is likely to adhere to a traditional release schedule, with an Apple TV+ premiere anticipated in the coming weeks. While an official premiere date has yet to be announced, viewers can expect the film to debut on Apple TV+ between October 10 and October 24.
