Supergiant Games Releases The Unseen Update for Hades 2

Supergiant Games has just dropped a major update for Hades 2 today, known as The Unseen Update. This update brings a plethora of changes that are too extensive to cover in detail here, but let’s highlight some of the key additions. Firstly, Narcissus now has character art, and surprisingly, he’s quite attractive! While we won’t spoil it by embedding images here, you can experience it firsthand in the game. It’s definitely a case of “why is he so obsessed with himself and also good-looking?” kind of situation.

Moving on to gameplay enhancements, all of the roguelike’s Nocturnal Arms now feature their own Hidden Aspects that players can unlock, although the discovery process is up to you. Additionally, new music has been added, including a hot new single from a certain band—hint: it’s likely Scylla and the Sirens.

The update introduces several optional events that players can encounter when interacting with various in-game characters. There’s also new artwork for specific characters in the salt bath, along with visual upgrades across the board. The Vow of Rivals feature amps up the challenge by making each Guardian boss more formidable in unique ways, adding a new layer of depth to gameplay progression.

Furthermore, a slew of additions and tweaks have been made to boons, Daedalus Hammer upgrades, Hexes, enemies, and more. If you’re a fan of diving into the nitty-gritty details, you’ll definitely want to peruse the full patch notes for a comprehensive breakdown.

In a recent blog post on their website, Supergiant Games shared some insight into the development progress. While they didn’t disclose a specific release date, they hinted at upcoming patches to address any issues with The Unseen Update, followed by the inclusion of the game’s highly-anticipated true ending. Achievements and other final touches are also in the pipeline, signaling that the game is gearing up for its 1.0 release. In the meantime, feel free to marvel at Narcissus’ newfound charm.
