Money laundering is a concept often portrayed in crime TV shows but rarely seen in games. However, that is about to change with the upcoming update to GTA Online on June 17th. The new update, Money Fronts, will introduce players to the world of buying small, lucrative businesses to funnel money through.
Players will start off with the classic car wash business, Hands On Car Wash, which will provide passive income through their criminal network. As they progress, they can acquire the Smoke on the Water dispensary and Higgins Helitours, each contributing their own profits from legal business activities.
While the financial rewards are enticing, there is a downside to operating these businesses in a shady manner. The heat generated can attract unwanted attention, forcing players to step in as the legitimate business owner to avoid any legal troubles.
In addition to new businesses, players can also look forward to new rides like the Karin Everon RS and the Declasse Tampa GT (Muscle). Money Fronts will also bring gameplay tweaks such as missile lock-on jammer capability for over 50 vehicles and doubling all sources of arena points. Certain cutscenes will be skippable on mission replays as well, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Rockstar has promised more details to be revealed soon, so players are encouraged to stay tuned for updates. With the release just a few days away, anticipation is high for the new content coming to GTA Online.
