Uncapped Games Cancels Development of Battle Aces
Independent developer Uncapped Games has made the difficult decision to cancel the development of their real-time strategy game, Battle Aces, which was initially announced in 2024.
Following feedback from internal testing and closed beta tests, the team has chosen to discontinue further work on Battle Aces.
In a statement, the developer expressed gratitude for the community’s support and passion, while acknowledging that the results from early testing did not meet expectations to sustain ongoing development.
“This decision was not taken lightly. Battle Aces was a bold attempt to redefine real-time strategy games for a new generation. We aimed to create a fast, tactical, and accessible experience, while preserving the depth that defines the genre. Throughout the development process, from internal playtests to closed betas, we were driven by the enthusiasm, feedback, and backing from our community,” the developer stated.

Today, with deep regret, we are announcing that development on Battle Aces has come to an end.
Creating Battle Aces has been tremendously rewarding and we are grateful for the passion and support from our community. Unfortunately, the returns from early testing were not strong enough to support continued development.
This decision was not made lightly. Battle Aces represented a bold vision — our attempt to reimagine real-time strategy for a new generation. We set out to create something fast, tactical, and approachable, while still delivering the depth that makes RTS special. Every step of the way, from internal playtests to closed betas, we were fueled by your enthusiasm, feedback, and support.
