Konami has casually announced that a Silent Hill remake is in the works, with Bloober Team returning to collaborate on the project.
While details are scarce, the Japanese publisher has confirmed that development is underway. The game, titled Silent Hill F, explores themes of beauty juxtaposed with horror, set in Japan’s Shōwa era. Renowned mangaka Ryūkishi07 is penning the story, promising a narrative rich in psychological trauma, Japanese folklore, and body horror.
Since the last mainline release, Silent Hill has seen a mix of spin-offs and disappointments. However, the upcoming Silent Hill F aims to revitalize the franchise with a fresh perspective and modern gameplay mechanics.
Silent Hill F is set to launch on September 25th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. As for the Silent Hill Remake, details on its release date and supported platforms remain unknown.
