Gearbox and Sony have just announced that the highly anticipated Borderlands 4 gameplay deep dive State of Play will be livestreamed tomorrow on the official PlayStation Twitch and YouTube channels.
Set your reminders for 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST / 11pm CEST to catch over 20 minutes of exclusive developer-led gameplay showcasing all the new, classic, and unique features of the latest installment in the beloved looter shooter series.
In an unexpected twist, Borderlands 4 is now scheduled for release on 12th September across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC – two weeks earlier than previously announced during February’s State of Play event. With Gearbox now under the ownership of Take-Two Interactive, and considering Take-Two’s hints at a late 2025 launch for GTA 6, one can’t help but wonder if there’s some strategic planning at play to maximize profits.
Tune in tomorrow as Creative Director Graeme Timms and Senior Project Producer Anthony Nicholson guide us through the thrilling missions in Kairos, the epic battle against the Timekeeper, the arsenal of new weapons, the familiar and fresh faces, and the exciting Action Skills in store for players.
