That’s what Nintendo has been exclaiming simultaneously across various official Twitter accounts in different regions – although not all of them. As of now, the K O N Ging phenomenon is not yet universal, but rather exclusive to specific Nintendo accounts in certain parts of the world.
Here is the list of official Nintendo accounts that have embraced the K O N G trend around 11AM UK time:
Official Nintendo accounts that have not yet joined the K O N Ging trend include Nintendo’s Japanese account, Nintendo of America, Nintendo AU NZ, the dormant official Nintendo Russia account since the memorable incident when Kirby devoured a car in 2022, and Nintendo France. Surprisingly, Nintendo France has not hopped on the K O N G bandwagon like its European counterparts.
The reason behind this selective participation remains a mystery. It could be related to the upcoming release of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on January 16, or perhaps a playful tease as fans eagerly anticipate any hints about a possible Nintendo Switch 2 reveal.
In any case, kudos to Nintendo for keeping us entertained.
