Focus and developer Saber Interactive have unveiled a new gameplay overview trailer for RoadCraft, a MudRunner spin-off centered on mechanized recovery efforts following natural disasters. RoadCraft is set to launch on May 20, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

RoadCraft continues the legacy of Expeditions, albeit without the MudRunner branding. The game introduces familiar gameplay mechanics such as the depth sensor for navigating through water, but with a strong focus on disaster recovery this time around.

Players will tackle eight regions ravaged by various natural calamities, ranging from floods to relentless sandstorms. The objective is to assess damage, clear debris, and reconstruct crucial infrastructure like roads and bridges. The game features a wide array of construction vehicles, including diggers, cranes, logging vehicles, and more. Physics interaction plays a vital role, allowing players to move obstacles, clear debris, and pave new roads using sandbanks and asphalt.

While RoadCraft can be played solo, it also offers support for up to four-player co-op, enabling faster completion of tasks, provided players resist the temptation of frequent tea breaks!

Reflecting on Saber’s previous game in this series, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, Dom noted, “While Expeditions is undeniably enjoyable, it offers focused, intense, and challenging gameplay that may not appeal to casual gamers seeking a quick and easy experience. Success in Expeditions demands skills like planning, stealth, and puzzle-solving.” RoadCraft seems poised to offer a similar experience.
