new Fatal Fury

Exciting news for fans of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves! SNK has officially announced an open beta for the game, scheduled to take place in February. The open beta will run from February 20th at 12 AM PST to February 24th at 11:59 PM PST, giving players the opportunity to test out the game before its release. Participants can choose from eight characters and two control schemes, and the beta will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

While SNK has yet to reveal which characters will be available in the open beta, they have confirmed that players can expect an offline tutorial mode and three online modes: Ranked Match, Room Match, and Casual Match. The two control schemes, Arcade Style and Smart Style, offer different ways to execute combos and special moves. Additionally, the beta will introduce players to the new REV system, which features REV Arts, REV Accel, and REV Blows to unleash powerful offensive moves.

One great thing about the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves beta is that it does not require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription, allowing anyone with an internet connection to participate. It’s important to note that save data from the open beta will not carry over to the retail release of the game, which is set for April 24th, 2025. The game will be available in physical and digital formats on all confirmed platforms, with the first season pass including characters like Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun Li.
