A new video game review aggregator CriticDB is gearing up for its launch on January 30th.
The platform aims to provide a diverse range of gaming outlets to users without favoring mainstream sources, giving independent outlets an opportunity to shine and share their insights with the broader gaming community. CriticDB’s mission statement, as stated on the new landing page, emphasizes:
Central to CriticDB is the discovery of games. We firmly believe that Indie Games play a crucial role in the industry’s evolution, and that many players tend to overlook indies in favor of the latest AAA titles.
By featuring similar games on each game page and enabling gamers to connect related titles, we strive to enhance game discovery, allowing users to explore different genres and titles they may come to love.
Our focus extends beyond games to helping users discover outlets and reviewers whose perspectives resonate with them. In a vast Games Industry landscape, we assert that no single outlet is superior, but rather there exists a wealth of exceptional voices worth following.
In addition, CriticDB plans to facilitate direct and personalized connections between PR representatives, game developers, and outlets, empowering gamers and industry professionals to effectively engage with audiences and peers.
Users will have the opportunity to create profiles, showcase their played and completed games, and contribute their own reviews to the platform.
The brainchild behind CriticDB is independent journalism advocate Rutledge Daugette, the current CEO of TechRaptor.
