Hit city-builder Manor Lords has been updated with two new maps and a heap of changes

Slavic Magic and Hooded Horse have recently launched a new update for Manor Lords, introducing new maps, the ability to build bridges, and various other features to enhance the medieval city-building experience.

This update combines two beta patches into one extensive changelog. The new maps, High Peaks and Winding River, offer players new terrain to explore and build on. The introduction of the bridge-building mechanic, an extension of the road tool, is prominently featured on the Winding River map.

The update also includes improvements to cliff geography to make it clearer for players to identify buildable areas. Lead developer Greg Styczeń mentions in a Steam post that visual indicators have been added during build mode to help with this. Additionally, pathfinding around cliffs has been optimized, addressing issues with gaps between landscape components and cliffs when zoomed out.

Major changes in this update involve worker restrictions for stalls, with only storage building workers being able to set up marketplace stalls. This decision was made to reduce confusion among players regarding ownership and work assignments. The marketplace’s capacity is now determined by the number of stalls and assigned storage buildings, with capacity information displayed on the market panel.

Styczeń has also introduced a stone well upgrade and level two taverns, along with adjustments to the distribution of ale and water from wells and taverns.

These changes are just a glimpse of the extensive update. For more details, check out the full changelog on Steam. Manor Lords was launched in April last year and is expected to leave early access in April 2025.
