Black Friday has arrived, and for many, that means shopping on Amazon. The e-commerce giant offers a vast selection of products, especially tech deals that are worth checking out.
If you’re following the deals on Tech Advisor’s hub but still might miss out on some offers, especially non-tech items, owning an Amazon Echo device can make your shopping experience much smoother. Here’s how you can leverage it to your advantage.
How to Utilize Alexa for Black Friday Deals
If you use the same Amazon account for both shopping and your smart speaker, you can ask Alexa to find deals on items it knows you’re interested in. These could be items you’ve saved in your lists, basket, or ‘Saved for later’ section on the site.
If you’ve been saving items, you can simply ask Alexa, “What are my deals?” to receive a list of your top 10 offers. From there, you can inquire further about a deal or add it to your basket using voice commands or a touchscreen device.

You can even make purchases directly through your smart speaker, although it is advised against as it will use default settings for address, payment method, and shipping preferences which may not be accurate.
If you haven’t added items to your wish list yet, here’s how you can do it on the Amazon website:
- Find the item you want on Amazon.
- Click ‘Add to List’ under the price information box on the right side of the page.
