7-11 Bringing Japanese Food Selection to US Stores
7-11 is set to expand its range of Japanese food items in American stores, inspired by the popular offerings in Japanese convenience stores (konbini). Japanese 7-11 locations are known for their diverse selection including onigiri, fruit sandwiches, yakisoba subs, and more.
According to NBC news, a spokesperson for 7-11 mentioned, “We are constantly evolving the fresh food assortment in our stores, tailoring the offerings at each location to meet the needs and preferences of local customers. Our team draws inspiration from around the world to introduce new items like Mangonada donuts with Tajin, barbecue pork sliders, chicken curry bowls and everything breakfast sandwiches that can be found at select 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores across the country.”
7-11, owned by Japanese parent company Seven & I Holdings, has seen great success in Japan. While 7-11 stores are widespread in the US, the Japanese locations are known for their exceptional offerings.
Some US stores are reportedly already stocking Japanese food items, hinting at a potential nationwide expansion of the selection.
