iOS 18 has finally arrived on Apple devices after being announced in June. The update is available for all devices running iOS 17, including older models like the iPhone XR and iPhone XS from 2018.
With the release of iOS 18, there are numerous new features to explore. To help you navigate the changes, here are some key highlights of the new update:
1. Customize the Control Center
The Control Center in iOS 18 now features four screens with enhanced customization options. Access it by swiping down from the top right of the display and explore the different screens by swiping up and down. You can make changes to icons and widgets by tapping the plus button at the top left.
2. Pause video recordings
A new pause button has been added to the Camera app in iOS 18, allowing you to temporarily stop video recordings. This feature is useful for switching between scenes or zoom levels within the same recording.
3. Hide distracting items on the web
Safari in iOS 18 now offers the ability to hide distracting elements on webpages, although it is not an ad blocker. Simply tap the icon next to the address bar and select “Hide Distracting Items” to declutter your browsing experience.
